All About DARLA!
Ello. My name is Darla, but you can all my D. Last time I checked, I was still a teenager. This year I've realized who my TRUE friends are, and it turned out there's only one: Lhola. Then there's Lizzie who is more than a best friend, and basically a sister. I've never had my heart broken, and I don't plan on it anytime soon. My Doggers comes before my family and friends, and I know that sounds weird, but he is my world. I'm not really a cat person, even though I have one. I'd rather spend my time on a horse farm than shopping, and swimming is something I wouldn't give up for the world. I've been making graphics for a long time, but I just started webdesign a while back. My wardrobe consists of mostly jeans and anything pink, black, and white. Preppy girls are over-rated. Oh, and musicis something that every person needs in their life.
music
Up until I was in 7th grade I listened to only pop, rap, hip-hop, and alternative. Then I spent a day with my aunt, who is a country fan. That's when I feel in love with
Carrie Underwood, LeAnna Rimes,
The Wreckers, Brad Paisley,
RASCAL FLATTS, Kenny Chesney, and Keith Urban. Also in 7th grade, my best friend Lizzie and I started spending more time together. That's when I learned that rock isn't that bad after all. Although my tastes are different than hers in some ways (
KATE VOEGELE for instince) I love Green Day, Avenged Sevenfold, Paramore, Good Charlotte, and
Sixx : A.M. I still listen to the music I was used to for so long (Jesse McCartney, Ashlee Simpson, etc.) bands like Bon Jovi and The Goo Goo Dolls appeal to me more.
television/movies
Drama in real life is a drag, but I'm a sucker for it anywhere else.
ONE TREE HILL is by far my favorite show, closely followed by Smallville and NCIS.
Moonlight, Ghost Whisperer, and Law & Order : SVU are amazing shows. I also love a little comedy (The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, The New Adventures of Old Christine, etc.) I'm not a Disney Channel freak, but
Wizards of Waverly Place is an awesome show. For movies,
PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN beats out anything else. My other favorites are:
10 Things I Hate About You, Step Up, Step Up 2 The Streets,
Darkness Falls, The Hitcher, Solstice, and many many more!
November 21, 2008 is the most important date on my calendar, and if you don't know what that day brings, you might want to climb out of the rock you're living under ;)
celebrities
I'm not one of those people that has a favorite actor and HAS TO get every single movie that they've ever been in. I do love
Heath Ledger (...but who doesn't?) Sophia Bush is also amazing and
Julia Stiles is SO talented! ;) My walls are covered with pictures of celebrities. I have the One Tree Hill cast, Jesse McCartney, Green Day,
ORLANDO BLOOM,, Will Smith, Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Shia Labeouf, Joe Jonas, and
Pete Wentz. Yes, I have the guys on my walls because they're hot, but I also have them up because they are amazing actors and singers.
books
I only read if I've got a good book. I love to read, so most books I find pretty damn good. :) Stephenie Meyer is my hero, and that's why her five books (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn and The Host) are on the top of my favorite list. The Uglies saga (Uglies, Pretties, Specials, and Extras) by Scott Westfeld are also an amazing series that everyone should read. I liked reading the Harry Potter books, but I don't think they were ever my favorite. I've just started reading
The Gossip Girl series, and so far I think I'm really going to love them. Oh - and I'm always up for a suggestion! :)
