It's All In The Name (History)

I first realized I was interested in graphic design when I came across Iconator.Com. I started off by making lots of icons just to see how many I could make. Later, I actually took time making them, and gradually they kept getting better and better. I then decided I wanted to showcase my icons somewhere other than iconator, so I got hosted at Freewebs.Com, using the name "LilXShortieXA. After a few months of realizing I didn't like the style of the URL on freewebs, I moved to Bravehost.Com, which was more like having a sub domain. When moving I also decided I wanted a new name, so I switched to "Waiting For Love".After learning about PHP, I started practicing using it on bravehost. I spent probably around 3-6 months on bravehost, but then I decided I wanted a real subdomain. I searched around until I found Twisted-Fate.Org, so I signed up. I kept my name, but I changed completely over to PHP and started showing other graphics and tutorials, making my site more professional. During my time here I also created an online magazine, "Organized Chaos", which offered advice, horoscopes, etc., but only last a few months. After almost four months at twisted-fate, my host started neglecting me. I then began to search for a new domain to be hosted on and was recommened to Oh-Sassy.Net. After being accepted by Cammyana, I changed my site's name to "Taking Chances". I stayed with Cammy for four months and then decided I wanted my own domain.
I discussed with my parents me getting my own domain for about two weeks before they agreed. I plan on staying with this name for quite a while, if not forever. I bought my domain from GoDaddy.Com and I'm hosted for free at F.erocio.us. I don't have much control at ferocious, so I'm currently looking for a host that gives me full control of my site.

I love the show Moonlight and one night this really awesome song was on there. I couldn't for the life of me remember what it was called, and I was really mad. Then one day I was on a radio site that I got through the Ayla Brown forums and it just happened to be playing! "Taking Chances" by Celine Dion. I listened to it non-stop for about a month, and that's when I knew that was going to be the name of my site. I debated between that and "six billion souls" after Peyton Sawyer's (Hilarie Burton) famous quote from One Tree Hill, but I finally decided on taking chances, and I'm very happy with it!
