Have you ever seen little icons in the corners of webbrowsers for certain sites?



This is called a favorite icon or "favicon". These are used on sites so people can tell what site it is, or for decoration. Sites like google, photobucket, etc. use them, and so do many personal sites, like mine! This tutorial is going to teach you how to put them up on your site. If you don't have a favicon you may use one of mine.

Copy and paste the following code into your >head< >/head< section.
<link rel="shortcut icon" HREF="http://YOUR-SITE-URL/favicon.ico">

Make sure to change the YOUR-SITE-URL part! xD
Now upload a favicon onto your server and name it favicon.ico!
